When we were dating, he invited me to go with him to one of his friend’s wedding receptions and it was quite a drive away. So, as we were heading back after the reception ended he wanted to put on some of his music that he liked. And, because deaf like to “feel” the music he wanted to crank up the volume. Because of this I asked him if he had any ear plugs around and he gave me his ear molds from his hearing aids to use as a plug. The molds helped, but I could STILL understand the words that were being sung (he liked the music that has a hard beat and he can feel easily, but those songs tend to lend themselves to vulgarity in many forms). The funny part of all of this was when I told him about the lyrics in the songs he just shrugged and said “well, don’t listen to them then!”…My response: “I CAN’T TURN OFF MY HEARING”…LOL
